I started in the building trade thirty-five years ago while I was a student at UC Berkeley, having traveled six thousand miles from England to acquire a master's degree in English. A dozen years later I founded Barking Dog Builders. I chose this name so people could bark at me and ask me if I build doghouses.
I fabricate and install custom cabinetry for the residential market, where I work either through architects and contractors or directly with homeowners, who generally get my name by referral. Though I have been doing what I do for a long time now, I have yet to tire of taking pride in my work and welcoming the prospect of new and challenging projects.
